This chapter of my fellowship began with a major shift – from Aesthetic Literacy to SEE Learning.
“A new way of seeing, a new way of being, and a new district that welcomed me with warmth – Pulwama.”
Everything about this transition felt like stepping into a fresh journey.

It all began on a quiet winter morning in Pulwama.
I walked through the school corridor with my diary in hand – a little nervous, a little excited.
New district. New schools. New teachers. New students. Everything was new.
As I stepped into the classroom, a few curious eyes turned towards me and “In that moment, it reminded me of my first day – “pichle saal ki wo pehli field visit, jab main fellowship ke shuruaat mein school mein kadam rakh rahi thi.”
that same silence, that same curiosity, that same hesitation.
Some faces seemed to ask, “Kaun hai yeh?”
Some looked confused.
Some were shy.
And a few were lost in their own world.

Those first few seconds felt like the opening scene of a new story — a new character entering a new chapter.
To soften the silence, I smiled and began with a small baalgeet activity:
“Ek budhiya ne boya daana…” followed by a few fun icebreakers.
Slowly, the atmosphere shifted.
Students laughed, joined in, and the invisible walls between us started to melt.
I gently told them:
“I’m not your teacher… main aapki dost hoon. Main bhi aapki tarah seekh rahi hoon.”
That’s when the real connection began.

Over the last three months, as I transitioned into SEE Learning,
I witnessed how deeply it supports emotional safety, compassion, and presence.
With this approach, our classroom slowly transformed into a true safe space — where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, sharing their thoughts, emotions, fears, and dreams.

A space where every voice holds value.
Pulwama has taught me something truly beautiful — children don’t open up because of big actions, but because someone shows up with gentleness, listens with heart, and creates the emotional safety that SEE Learning stands for.

Grateful for this new chapter.
Grateful for Pulwama.
