Promote equitable access to quality services through
digital transformation of public systems
Digital Bharat Collaborative (DBC) envisions an India where every citizen enjoys equitable access to quality public service, currently we are focussing on the domain of health. The accent is on building a fair and transparent system to empower the ordinary citizen, influence policy and decentralise governance. Leveraging partnerships, the DBC hopes to improve service delivery to citizens, especially those on social fringes, and build a continuum of care for them. The collaborative also envisages integration of data for monitoring and decision-making and augmenting state capacity through digital governance.
Gandhi Fellows as Agents of Change in DBC
In DBC, Fellows will learn from sustained exposure to governmental systems through providing field support – one of the key elements of the Fellowship. In this role, they will work closely with the local governments as well as frontline health workers and use their digital learning towards achieving the key initiatives of DBC.
